The Sev-2 that ruined Friday
ChatCanvas guide
A fictional Slack incident at 16:50 on a Friday — workplace storytelling without naming a real company.
Workplace drama that isn’t gossip about a brand
Incident threads go viral with engineers because the timing is universal: late Friday, pager, “please be a drill.” Keep company names fake and the outage generic.
This is the safe cousin of industry gossip — the feeling of the war room, not a claim about a real outage.
Structure that fits a slide
Pager → not a drill → mitigation → “postmortem Monday” → laptop in another room. Five or six messages is plenty.
Use Slack dark or light to match your deck; export PNG for the slide or MP4 for a launch cutdown.
